Happy Thanksgiving to all!!! Lisa in Richmond VA: Let me know how
your new treatment with the vicodin every four hours and zoloft is
going. If anyone else out there has tried anything similar let me
know PLEASE! I am going to try this treatment regimine. I've noticed
that when I'm taking lorcet during my period and I am careful to not
allow the effect to wear off they seem better so maybe Lisa is on to
something. I think if others have tried this and it works I can print
your stories and my doc would be open to it. I hope everones day was
more pain free than mine! Also does anyone else have a SUPER sense
of smell when they have a bad one? Thanks to everyone here and your
advise and support. Anna

Hello Everyone.....this is my third time writing...and I just wanted to say Happy Turkey Day & Hope that EVERYONE had a "migraine" free day or at least a relatively pain free one..not for me..I have had another bad attack for the past week & it is only getting worse. Of course it did not help any that my kid has been giving me problems - the usual - mouthing off / getting up in my "face" as they say & trying to exert her way knowing that I will eventually give in to her just to make her stop yelling & screaming at what a horrible mom I am - she has really been pushing the limit on too many things & has gotten caught, but doesnt want to pay the penalty/she blames me for always being sick & taking "drugs" so that I am so out of it that I dont pay attention ... she can be such a horrid little girl - young lady - which of course has only made my migraine worse than what it was - I wish there was a "miracle" cure for us ... but there isnt!
Anyway it looks like I am going to the ER later on - but I just needed to vent somewhat ..... I have had a crummy Thanksgiving - funny - I have always hated holidays because of the bad memories they bring back to me from when I was younger - I thought I was over that but today I found out that I'm not - I have always tried to overcome those memories - but thats life then on top of all that I have these darn intractable migraines.....thanks for listening! I'll be OK - just needed to vent like I said before - and yes I will go to the ER ASAP.

I just found this site, and wish everyone reading today, a very
happy, pain free holiday. I hope each of you have family and/or
those near and dear to you, spending time with you.
I also wish to add that I've suffered from migraines for over
46 years. This year has been the worse ( I am 60 years old), and I
have finally taken charge of my medical care for this chronic
pain.
Imitrex injections have been the only relief I've had, but
I finally found a neurologist who has me on 10 mg. Oxycontin
every 12 hours, and after having 47 migrains for the month of
October, and 32 for the first two 3.5 weeks of
November, I have had two nites and days with only one migraine.
FWIW, it appears this Oxycontin is helping me be pain free. I
can only hope that it lasts.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!!
Today is the day we count our blessings. I know that everyone of
you has something to be thankful for. Just take a moment out of the
day to tell someone that you love them. If you are alone, Pick up the
phone & call that person you've been meaning to call for some time now.
I want to thank each and everyone of you for being part of my life.
Although we may never meet in person, I know you are there. You have
all touched my life in a myriad of ways. We are in this together & we
will percivere. Deep within us all lies the strenght we need to get
thru another day... to continue even when we wish we didn;t have to
get out of bed.
I wish you all the best of things today & always. May the light
of life shine brightly in your heart & may your God bless you. Take
care of yourselves & be pain free! ~Dianna~
